At last!! Finally completed and boy am I glad. Actually, despite this being a huge hurdle for me at times, I feel the hard work has paid off. Okay, so it's not perfect (slight blotchy areas due to overblending etc) but it's certainly the best I could have done.
I'm massively proud of this piece and I definitely feel I gave it all the love and attention that the reference photo demanded. Many people commented on how her iris's seemed too small and the whites of her eys too white in the WIP's leading up to the finished piece and so hopefully I've adjusted them enough to get it right......finally. Let me know what you think. Massive thanks has to go to Materials: 2b - 8b solid graphite pencils Electric eraser and putty eraser Make-up remover pads for the blending Bristol smooth board I'll say thanks now to anyone who comments and/or fav's this piece as I don't have much time to reply to every comment these days o thanks in advance. The shading was a nightmare below her chin down towards her chest and it ended up a little blotchy but oh well, it's done now. -- Member of *Traditional-Artists *TheGraphiteClub *blackandwhiteclub My page:- [link] This is beyond incredible. It's so smooth and well blended and the lighting are just simply
Huge congrats for your first portait -- "Sometimes," she quietly confided in me, "I loathe the jewels. But diamonds mean power and without power I'm without worth." -Mumtaz Mahal to her daughter Beneath a Marble Sky by John Shors Sparkly Vampire Supporter. Thanks so much.

Things u could improve maybe is the nose? 0.0 other than that i don't see big flaws with this piece, and believe me i like to look for mistakes >.> so this was done really well and i don't think i can say more even if i could lol, so work paid off indeed^^
The first thing I notice is the way you accurately captured the focus of the piece, the earrings and hair in the background look fantastic. I just can't get enough of the earrings!
The face is also done with expert precision, the features are especially striking. The highlights on the nose and lips are so soft, real, and lovely. I think you corrected any proportion issues with the eyes, but I think the eyeliner could be darker. In the reference the the darkest values can be seen around the eyes, and it would really make the eyes pop if they had that contrast. I thought at first that it might be the fault of the scanner, but I can see some darker values in the hair that are darker than the eyes.
The only other little thing I noticed is the forehead area above the right eyebrow, it looks a bit flatter than the rest of the face.
Enough nitpicking though! This is a beautiful portrait, and I hope it won't be your last, I can't wait to see what you do next!
